The role of special needs teacher with us

The position is divided with approximately 75% of the work in the school's special education group (Su-group) and the remaining part focusing on reading and writing assessments, guidance, and development work. You will become an important part of the work to strengthen the quality of teaching and create good conditions for all students' learning through a systematic, preventive, and inclusive approach.

The assignment includes:

• Working in the special education group (Su-group).
• Conducting reading and writing assessments and ensuring that the results are implemented in teaching and contribute to long-term development.
• Guiding and supporting teachers and work teams in working with accessible learning environments, extra adaptations, and special support, with a particular focus on language, reading, and writing.
• Contributing to the school's systematic quality work through analysis, follow-up, and development of teaching and learning environments.
• Working with students individually or in small groups when clearly decided upon and as part of long-term support work.

The assignment is characterized by close collaboration with teachers, student health services, and school management, with a focus on developing operations and strengthening educators' ability to meet students in need of support.

When we asked our students what is important in a special needs teacher, they answered: "Should be fun, helpful, and a bit strict! Be on time and talk to us about how our learning is going." Therefore, we are looking for you who take the students' perspective seriously and build relationships that make a difference.

Your profile

It is natural for you to always have our students' best interests at heart. You are a role model for others, inspire and motivate, and have personal care as a starting point in your work and in your relationship with your colleagues. At the same time, you are structured and analytical in your approach, with the ability to see both individual needs and the organization's development opportunities. You enjoy working both closely with students and with school development, seeing collaboration as a key success factor for creating the best conditions for learning and development. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Personal suitability is given great importance.

We are looking for you who:

• are a certified teacher with a special needs teacher degree or alternatively a special educator
• have competence in reading and writing development
• have experience with mapping and assessments
