Responsibilities

As a Business Economist at Uddevalla Municipality, you will play a central role in contributing to our vision of an efficient and sustainable municipal operation. Your tasks will be diverse and dynamic. Here are some of the key areas of responsibility:

  • Analysis and evaluation of financial results to identify areas for improvement and strategic opportunities.
  • Create budgets and forecasts in collaboration with various departments to ensure sustainable economic decision-making.
  • Develop and implement effective economic processes and routines, focusing on structure and long-term sustainability.
  • Participate in and support business planning and strategic development projects.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with colleagues and external partners to promote the municipality's economic goals.

Qualifications

  • Adequate education as an economist.
  • Experience, preferably from work in public administration or schools.
  • Previous work as a public administration economist or business economist is meritorious.

Other Information

The position is 50% with a possibility of extension.

Employment is subject to necessary decisions being made. For positions involving direct and regular contact with children and young people, as well as operations within LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), care and nursing, healthcare, psychiatric care, and addiction treatment, a valid extract from the police criminal record must be presented or submitted prior to employment. Please note that it may take time to obtain the extract, so order it well in advance to avoid delaying the recruitment process.
