As a meal assistant with us, you will become an important part of an engaged team where meals are a time for community, energy, and learning – and you will have a central role in creating a pleasant and pedagogical meal environment.

The role of meal assistant with us

At Fjordskolan, a lower and middle school with approximately 340 students, we have three receiving kitchens that receive hot meal deliveries from Aranäsgymnasiet. In two of the kitchens, you work alone, while in the third, two people work together. The vacant position is in one of the kitchens where you work alone. In the own kitchen, the alternative dish and sides such as salad, potatoes, rice, and pasta are planned and prepared. You will also handle dishwashing and cleaning, order food and supplies, report statistics, and order portions. You are expected to answer questions about the menu, allergies, and special diets, as well as understand regulations regarding the handling of chemical products.

Your profile

You enjoy working both independently and in a team, have a positive attitude, and a good sense of service. You take responsibility for your tasks and are skilled at organizing and planning your work, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. We value good cohesion and job satisfaction as keys to well-being in the workplace. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Personal suitability is given great importance.

We are looking for you who:

• have a catering or restaurant education, or have experience from similar work that the employer considers equivalent.
• have basic computer skills for ordering via e-commerce and personnel reporting.
• have acquired good hygiene knowledge and knowledge of special diets through experience or education.

Our offer and other information

We offer a permanent position (holiday cover), full-time (100%), starting in the autumn term of 2026, subject to agreement.

We have flexible working hours agreements, and there is an opportunity to influence your working hours when the operations allow it.
