We are now looking for a school nurse for a temporary position from October 2026 to January 2028, with the possibility of extension.

As a school nurse, you are an important part of the student health services' work to promote students' learning, development, and health. The work is both preventive and health-promoting, focusing on removing obstacles for students' development.

You work closely with school staff and other professionals within student health services to create the best possible conditions for all students to reach their goals.

In the role of school nurse, you work at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Your main responsibilities include:

• Health examinations and health conversations
• Vaccinations according to the basic program
• Open reception for students
• Health-promoting education
• Participation in student health teams
• Collaboration with guardians and school staff
• Cooperation with external actors such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) and habilitation services

You also participate in quality work and the development of student health initiatives. Within central child and student health services, you collaborate with school nurses, school doctors, school counselors, school psychologists, and special education teachers.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a registered nurse
• Has specialist nurse education in: children and youth, or district nurse/open healthcare, alternatively school nurse education
• Has experience in teamwork
• Has a strong commitment to health-promoting and preventive work

It is meritorious if you:

• Have experience working in schools/student health services
• Have good knowledge of the Swedish school system
• Have worked in the medical record system Prorenata

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
