Building Permit Administrator for Uddevalla Municipality

Do you want to help shape future urban development in Uddevalla? We are looking for a structured and service-oriented Building Permit Administrator who wants to contribute to an efficient, legally secure, and digital building permit process.

Here, you will become an important part of an engaged team where collaboration, development, and good service are at the center. Together, we create value for both residents and businesses in the municipality.

This is a fixed-term position starting on 2026-09-01 and ending on 2027-02-28, with a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

As a Building Permit Administrator, you play a central and important role in the building permit process. You work closely with case handlers and other colleagues within the urban development department, contributing to the correct, smooth, and legally secure handling of cases.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Registering incoming documents
  • Administering and following up on cases throughout the entire process
  • Dispatching decisions, start notices, and other documents
  • Handling and dispatching neighbor notifications and received statements
  • Ensuring correct diary registration and archiving
  • Providing administrative support and contributing to good service for citizens and employees

You also play a key role in developing and improving our working methods. This means you are involved in the work with digitalization and efficiency improvements of administrative processes, contributing to modern and smart solutions in everyday life.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A high school education, preferably with an administrative focus
  • Experience in administrative work, preferably within public sector operations
  • Good computer skills and experience working in digital systems
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience from building permit operations or work within the Planning and Building Act
  • Knowledge of diary registration and the principle of public access to official records
  • Experience with case management systems for building permits, preferably Nova
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field
  • Education in administrative law, for example through a course or equivalent competence
