The Academic Primary Care Centre (APC) has an overarching research, education, and development mandate for primary care in Region Stockholm. APC, together with the three university health centres Jakobsberg, Gustavsberg, and Liljeholmen, constitutes the primary care university healthcare unit (USV) and is a key part of the new organization for knowledge-based management nationally and regionally. The operations are based on a network organization where the majority of our employees have their primary employment in clinical primary care activities. Stockholm County Council, SLSO, is the main authority, but APC's operations are conducted independently of the form of operation throughout Region Stockholm. Read more about APC here.
Job Description:
As a statistician, you play a central role in strengthening research and quality monitoring within primary care by analyzing, visualizing, and presenting data in various projects. You possess strong communication and analytical skills and enjoy working both independently and in teams. To thrive in this role, you need to be proactive, have the ability to identify needs and solve problems, and be able to represent the organization in collaboration with various stakeholders. The organization is growing with new projects, and we are now looking for you who want to contribute to strengthening primary care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Processing and analysis of large datasets
- Development and maintenance of statistical models and forecasts
- Conduct statistical analyses and present results in a clear and understandable manner
- Collaborate with various professions to identify and solve analytical problems
- Educate and support colleagues in the use of statistical tools and methods
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in statistics or a related field.
- Experience working as a statistician or in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of statistical software such as R, SAS, or similar.
- Experience with database management and programming.
- Ability to analyze complex data and present results clearly.
To fit the role, you need to be driven, meticulous, and enjoy collaborating with others. Personal attributes are crucial for the position.
We welcome both relatively new graduates and more experienced applicants. For this position, we will apply a work test in statistics.
Conditions:
Fixed-term employment, 100% for one year or as agreed, with the possibility of extension.
The position will be filled provided it does not need to be taken for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
