About the role

We are currently recruiting a part-time Procurement Specialist for a public authority in Uppsala. In this role, you will provide operational support in procurement and administration in connection with an upcoming relocation.

You will have a central function where you work closely with the operations team and contribute to several parts of the procurement process, from preparing documentation to supporting call-offs and simpler procurements related to office furniture and business-related services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting needs and market analysis
  • Maintaining existing supplier contacts and sourcing new suppliers
  • Preparing and compiling statistics, as well as updating various registers (e.g., contract and customer registers)
  • Handling quotations/bids, contracts, and supplier selection
  • Conducting independent direct procurements and purchases
  • Conducting independent procurements
  • Conducting independent call-offs from national framework agreements

Assignment period and scope:

The Procurement Specialist position is a part-time consultancy assignment of approximately 60–80 hours until the relocation is completed.

Requirements for the role:

  • University degree in law, economics, or equivalent, and at least three (3) years of work experience in a similar role. Alternatively, a Vocational Higher Education (YH) qualification as a procurement specialist/purchaser or equivalent, plus at least one (1) year of work experience in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU/LUF).
  • Experience working with procurement tools such as Mercell TendSign.
  • Good proficiency in MS Office or equivalent software.
  • Fluent in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of work experience in a similar role.
