The Elderly Care in Umeå Municipality aims to be a resource that empowers and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life, through proximity and interaction.

Those over the age of 18 who cannot reach a health center on their own or with assistance may have the opportunity to receive healthcare and rehabilitation/habilitation services in their own homes.

Home Healthcare is responsible for home nursing, home visits, rehabilitation, habilitation, and assistive devices in ordinary housing, including prescriptions and certificates for housing adaptations. The role covers 24/7 care for individuals over 18 living in their own homes.

We are now looking for a competent nursing assistant interested in a flexible and developmental role where the individual is at the center!

Your Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant in home healthcare, you will perform delegated tasks at the primary care level. Tasks may include, among other things, medication and insulin administration, catheter care, and wound dressing. Here, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients and make a real difference in their daily lives.

The position is a fixed-term contract (maternity leave/backup), full-time, with a start date from 2026-08-24 to 2027-09-05. Scheduled working hours include days, evenings, and weekends.

About You

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and want to contribute your skills within Home Healthcare. You have experience with sampling and delegated tasks, such as medication and insulin management as well as wound dressing. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working in home care and/or home healthcare, administering medication via tube, connecting and disconnecting tube feeding, flushing urinary catheters, and catheterization of women.

To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and review care documentation, and obtain medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. A valid Category B driver's license is required for this position.

Lifting heavy loads occurs, so transfer aids must be used.
