Do you want to work preventively and make a difference for children, young people, and families at an early stage? We are now looking for an engaged family therapist for the First Line service in Nacka Municipality.

Here, you will work with early support and treatment interventions for children, young people, and their families, with a particular focus on parental support and children's mental health. You will work closely with knowledgeable colleagues and collaborate with, among others, primary care centers, schools, social services, and other key actors to provide families with the right support at the right time.

Your role

As a family therapist, you work with support and treatment interventions without a social assistance decision for children and young people aged 0–17 and their families. The main focus of the role is parental support and psychosocial treatment work with a focus on children's mental health.

The First Line is part of the Children, Youth, and Family operations within the Family and Work business area. Here, we offer early and accessible interventions to children, young people, and their families based on assignments from the Social Services Board. As a family therapist, you work closely with other family therapists and collaborate with, among others, psychologists and CBT therapists at primary care centers to provide families with coordinated support.

The position is based at the Horisonten Children and Young People reception at Boo Primary Care Center in Orminge, Familjeläkarna in Saltsjöbaden, and at the operations' premises in Sickla. The role involves a varied and mobile way of working where you need to enjoy working at several locations and independently plan your daily routine.

In the role, you will, among other things:

  • provide support and treatment interventions as well as parental support at individual and group levels
  • identify needs early and contribute to coordinating interventions around families
  • collaborate with primary care centers, schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), and internal and external actors who meet the target group
  • contribute to the development and quality of the operations

You will meet families seeking support regarding children's mental health, school problems, and challenges in parenting, often at a stage where early interventions can make a big difference.

Is this you?

We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role and has a genuine commitment to children, young people, and families. You meet people with sensitivity, respect, and professionalism and are good at building trusting relationships.

You work independently and take responsibility for your assignment while enjoying collaborating with other professions. You are unpretentious, communicative, and confident in your competence, and you are happy to contribute perspectives and ideas that develop the operations. To thrive in the role, you also need to be flexible and stress-resistant.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

Your experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a degree in social work or other equivalent higher education with a relevant focus
  • experience working with children's mental health
  • experience in psychosocial treatment work with children, young people, and families
  • experience in parental support
  • very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • good documentation habits and digital competence

It is meritorious if you have:

  • basic psychotherapy education (Step 1)
  • experience from social services outpatient care
  • experience in collaboration between municipality and region
  • experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF)
  • experience with parental support programs, such as ABC or iKomet

What we offer

Here, you will have a meaningful and varied assignment where you have the opportunity to make a difference for children, young people, and families at an early stage. You will work together with engaged and competent colleagues in close collaboration between the municipality and the region. The role offers a combination of individual treatment work, group activities, and collaboration with other professions, creating a developing and varied workday.

We work with continuous selection, which means the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
