Workplace Description

The project is located at the Department of Molecular Hematology at the Faculty of Medicine, within the bioinformatics laboratory led by Shamit Soneji, which consists of two other employees. The project focuses on virtual reality (VR), and we are exploring new applications within science and medicine.

Responsibilities

The role involves assisting in the development of a VR environment designed to educate children on the department about diseases. This will involve collaborating closely with researchers and clinicians to produce content that healthcare providers can use as an educational tool.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with VR development, specifically using the Unity Game Engine and OpenXR.
  • Ability to create 3D assets using tools such as Blender.
  • A degree in a related field from a university or ongoing studies at a university in a related field such as Computer Science.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • A Master's degree (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Previous experience working with researchers and healthcare staff.
  • Experience with medical VR.

Other Information

The position is a fixed-term temporary appointment (SÄVA) on a full-time basis for 1 month, with a start date from 2026-07-01 or as agreed upon.
