The Psychiatric Clinic in Arvika is looking for a licensed occupational therapist who wants to help develop our operations. Here, you will work in an interdisciplinary team with a good work climate, clear routines, and a focus on the patient's best interests within adult psychiatry in Arvika, Eda, and Årjäng.
Your Workplace
The Psychiatric Clinic in Arvika is organized within the Adult Psychiatry business area. In addition to the clinic in Arvika, there is psychiatric outpatient care in Hagfors, Torsby, Kristinehamn, Säffle, and Karlstad. The psychiatric clinic in Arvika is located in premises at Arvika Hospital.
The mission of the unit is to assess, investigate, and treat patients with mental illness and mental disabilities, which can be done individually or in groups.
We operate our unit in interdisciplinary collaboration, where we have ongoing development work to further enhance our teamwork. You will work at a clinic with a supportive and good work climate alongside colleagues with extensive work experience. We have a solid structure with clear and established routines, and we prioritize the patient's best interests.
A key part of the job is collaboration with health centers, municipalities, and other healthcare providers, including participation in SIP (Interagency Social Services) and care planning.
At the Arvika clinic, in addition to occupational therapists, we employ nurses, specialist physicians, resident physicians, healthcare administrators, care assistants, psychologists, PTP-psychologists, and social workers.
We operate in three municipalities: Arvika, Eda, and Årjäng.
We are now looking for a licensed occupational therapist in Arvika who is interested in helping to develop the clinic towards a common goal across the entire region.
Your Responsibilities
Within Adult Psychiatry, there is inspiring development work underway, and we are looking for you to help us with this. The future lies within the psychiatric clinic.
As an occupational therapist with us, you will have an independent, varied, and stimulating job. The work involves direct work with the individual through assessment and treatment, as well as counseling, consultation, supervision, and education for people in the individual's immediate environment. This is done in collaboration with other professions within the unit and often externally with various authorities. Treatment is provided both individually and in groups.

Your Skills and Competencies
We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. It is important that you are engaged and enjoy working with development and change processes. You should be a flexible and creative person with good collaboration skills. You are secure, stable, and adapt your approach to the situation. You are independent and have the courage to act according to your own convictions. You are clear in your communication, ensuring that messages are received and expectations are clear for all parties involved. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively, setting and maintaining timeframes. Experience from psychiatry is meritorious but not a requirement.
