Welcome to Wallerska School! We are a grades F–6 school with approximately 290 students. We are currently looking for you who want to teach our students in grades 3–6 in wood and metal crafts. You will work closely with a colleague who teaches textile crafts and will be part of a work team that collaborates to drive learning and development.

About the position

We are now seeking a certified teacher for grades 3–6 with a specialization in wood and metal crafts at Wallerska School. You should have good subject knowledge as well as the ability to teach it pedagogically. As a teacher, it is important that you can act as a bridge in the students' journey between stages, guide them towards increased independence, and spark their interest through varied teaching. We also see that you are a confident person who naturally adapts your teaching to the different prerequisites of your students. You will teach in a brand new craft room where you have great opportunities to organize the workspace according to your own preferences.

Examples of tasks:

• Plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching.
• Teamwork.
• Collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and any external authorities and operations.
• Participate in and contribute to joint activities at the school.

About the workplace

Wallerska School covers grades F–6 and is located in the residential area of Hjärsta in western Örebro. This autumn, we will move into completely newly renovated and newly built premises with an associated newly built schoolyard. There are beautiful parks and outdoor areas around the school that are used by the school. Here, you will work in a work team that teaches and conducts school development. Qualifications

As a teacher, it is important that you have good collaboration skills, listen and communicate effectively, and contribute to a calm and secure school environment. You should have knowledge of child development and learning as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on the group's and individual students' needs and prerequisites.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach wood and metal crafts for grades 3–6, or alternatively, a qualification-giving degree that entitles to certification.

Merits:

• Eligibility in the subject of technology for grades 4–6.
