Workplace Description
The position is located within the Research Group for Radiobiology and Experimental Radiation Biology at the Department of Medical Radiation Physics. The research aims to improve radiation therapy for cancer, and the interdisciplinary research group comprises members with diverse expertise in oncology, biomedicine, and radiation physics. Tasks and Responsibilities
You will work with collected research data from experimental MRI studies, specifically focusing on the processing and analysis of images. The goal is to establish an image reconstruction pipeline that converts raw data from experimental methods into high-quality images. Tasks include image reconstruction, correction methods, data collection, programming, statistical analysis, as well as oral and written reporting.
Requirements
The requirements for the position are:
- Education relevant to the field of employment
- Basic knowledge of medical radiation physics
- Ability to work independently
- Good teamwork skills
- Very good proficiency in Swedish and/or English, both spoken and written
- Very good programming skills in Python and/or Matlab
Qualifications that are meritorious for the position:
- Knowledge of the theory behind image generation in MRI
- Knowledge/experience in image reconstruction and programming
Other Information
The employment is fixed-term for the period 2026-09-01 to 2026-12-31, with a full-time workload (100%).
