About the job

We are now looking for a payroll administrator with an interest in systems for Payroll Center V6.

At Payroll Center V6, we handle payroll for 10,000 employees across six municipalities and ten municipal companies – and we do it with both precision and heart. We are now looking for you who want to make a difference in the daily lives of our colleagues, while getting to dig into contracts, systems, and smart solutions. No two days are alike here, but one thing is certain: you will never have to wonder if it's the 27th – you will know it in your bones.

Payroll Center V6 is a collaboration between the municipalities of Essunga, Grästorp, Götene, Lidköping, Skara, and Vara. Together, we have created a joint payroll unit where Lidköping Municipality is the host municipality. We offer services within payroll and compensation, pension and insurance administration, as well as system management, to municipalities, companies, municipal associations, and foundations. This means you will be employed by Lidköping Municipality, but work for the entire V6 collaboration.

Approximately 30 employees work at Payroll Center V6 – payroll manager, development manager, project manager, payroll coordinator, and payroll administrator – who together handle approximately 160,000 payroll statements per year. We work in different teams based on business area.

Responsibilities

As a payroll administrator with us, you work service-oriented with payroll administrative tasks, where a holistic view and understanding of consequences are important. We actively work with continuous development and improvement of our payroll process and payroll support.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who not only have a grasp of payroll processes – but are also driven by understanding and improving them. You have a genuine interest in systems and see digital tools as opportunities rather than obstacles. You like to dig into details, but also lift your gaze to see the big picture and suggest smarter ways of working.

You have:

• Post-secondary education within payroll administration/personnel.
• A few years of experience in payroll work in a larger organization.
• Good computer skills and preferably experience with Personec P, Medvind, or WinLas.
• Good ability to express yourself clearly and correctly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have knowledge of municipal collective agreements – and perhaps even find the contract jungle a bit exciting.

But most importantly – you are a person who understands that payroll is about more than numbers. It is about security, trust, and that people receive the correct compensation on time. You are structured, meticulous, and have a natural sense for service.

You thrive taking responsibility, are solution-focused, and find it easy to collaborate. You keep your cool even when there is a lot to do – and know that a friendly tone in an email can solve more than three extra Excel rows.
