The Role of Preschool Assistant with Us

As a preschool assistant (barnskötare), you work with care, education, and teaching for children aged 1–5 years in accordance with the Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum for preschools, Lpfö 18. You are an important part of the children's daily lives and contribute to creating a safe, stimulating, and developmental learning environment where every child is given the opportunity to grow, explore, and learn.

In this role, you actively participate in the children's play, learning, and care. You support the children in their development, spark curiosity, and create conditions for participation and security. Together with preschool teachers, you plan, implement, and follow up on activities based on the children's needs, interests, and prerequisites. The work also includes practical tasks such as meals, rest, and outdoor play.

You have daily contact with parents/guardians and contribute to good collaboration. Conversations with parents/guardians may occur as part of the assignment.

The preschool is a traditional preschool that is now embarking on an exciting development journey. Through reorganization, the activity will work with smaller child groups, creating even better conditions for close relationships, security, and learning. As a preschool assistant, you will have the opportunity to be involved from the beginning and contribute to shaping the future working methods and development of the activity.

Your Profile

You are an engaged and responsive preschool assistant who creates secure relationships with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues. You take responsibility for your work, collaborate well with others, and actively contribute to the development of the activity. You are flexible, see opportunities in changes, and are eager to take initiatives that benefit the children's learning and development. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a trained preschool assistant

It is an advantage if you have:

• knowledge of TAAK (Swedish as a Second Language) and/or visual support
• knowledge of digital work with children
• experience working in smaller child groups

Our Offer and Other Information

We offer a fixed-term full-time position until July 9, 2027, starting September 1, 2026, subject to agreement. There is a chance for extension.
