About our open position

We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in working with people with psychiatric issues. Here, you will have the opportunity to meet patients of various ages and with different medical conditions, making the work both challenging, stimulating, and varied. We are undergoing an exciting reorientation at the clinic, where a broadened perspective on care and treatment is crucial to meeting the complex needs of healthcare. As a nurse here, you will work with triage and assessments of care needs for people seeking emergency care, telephone advice, and support for care partners, collaborators, and citizens. You will participate in the unit's development work and be offered competence development based on the goals set for the operations. We are keen that you receive a good introduction, which will therefore be adapted to your experience.

The position involves working days and evenings, as well as every fourth of ten weekends according to an EU-adjusted schedule with 11 hours of daily rest.

About us

The Psychiatric Emergency Clinic serves adults in need of acute psychiatric care within the catchment area of Södra Älvsborg. The emergency clinic has a mobile psychiatric team, which means consultation with care partners and patients, as well as acute home visits for assessments. At the emergency clinic, we also coordinate with other actors to ensure the right patient is in the right place. The emergency clinic also has close cooperation with ambulances and the police. The team includes nurses/specialist nurses in psychiatry, mental health care assistants, specialist doctors, and secretaries.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a Swedish nursing license and specialist training in psychiatry. Experience in psychiatric care is an advantage. We value qualities such as good teamwork skills, flexibility, good social competence, and curiosity. Great importance is placed on personal suitability in the selection process.
