The Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogden) is tasked with preventing and combating economic crime, as well as participating in inter-agency efforts against serious and organized crime. Part of this work involves supervising business bans.
About the job
This is a new and exciting role as an investigator supervising business bans. You will belong to the unit for special enforcement.
Everyone working at Kronofogden contributes to the fight against crime. Your duties include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity, as well as reporting suspected crimes to other authorities.
A business ban is issued by the court after special review. A person who has received a business ban is not allowed to run or represent a business. Your tasks will include:
- informing the person with the business ban about what the ban entails
- checking that the person is not conducting business activities while the ban is in effect
- managing the supervision of the business ban and reporting suspected violations to the prosecutor at the National Economic Crime Bureau
- performing qualified investigative work, analyzing economic conditions, and investigating potential involvement in business activities
- documenting and compiling investigations, as well as making legally secure assessments
- maintaining many personal contacts, primarily from the office but also through outreach activities when necessary.
The location is Eskilstuna or Umeå.

Your qualifications:
- higher education or university degree of at least 180 hp (120 p according to the old system) in social sciences or economics, or another equivalent higher education
- current and relevant work experience in investigative work
- good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
- driver's license for a car with a manual transmission.
It is desirable that you have current work experience from a government agency. It is also desirable that you have current work experience in supervisory work and control operations. It is also desirable to have current work experience working with Excel. Furthermore, current experience with Analyst Notebook is desirable.

Good to know
The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probation period. You will be employed as an investigator. Kronofogden offers the possibility of remote work after agreement with the employer.
Working in the state sector means you follow the government's values. There are also special requirements regarding judgment, security thinking, and adherence to current laws. We ask questions during interviews about any previous criminal activity and deficiencies in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked to reference persons. We also gather information about debts registered with Kronofogden, bankruptcy, and business bans. Information obtained is weighed into the overall assessment of your suitability for the current position.
An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security investigation with register control according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our security-classed tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.
