Who are we?

Kimstadskolan is a school for grades 4-6 located in the community of Kimstad, just outside Norrköping. The school currently has approximately 120 students and 16 employees. Together with the preschool to grade 3 school Greby, we form a school unit.

The schoolyard is large and invites learning, activities, and movement. We are a small school that is part of a larger unit in a small rural town, just a 15-minute commute from both Norrköping and Linköping. Kimstadskolan is close to forests, swimming areas, and sports fields, while still being close to two major cities.

We are a school with high digital competence and strive to be at the forefront regarding both students' and staff's ICT competence. All students work with digital learning tools, "Classroom", and digital teaching materials. Despite our small size, we have high pedagogical ambitions and collaborate closely with R&D (the Education Office's Research and Development Department).

Your responsibilities

As a teacher in grades 4-6, you are responsible for the teaching at the school by contributing to the realization of the curriculum's goals and intentions in the operations. You are also responsible for planning, implementing, and documenting the pedagogical work at the school.

Kimstadskolan works in a subject-teacher system where you will plan and implement teaching together with colleagues in subject groups and work teams. The position also includes mentorship for a group of students.

At Kimstadskolan, teachers work jointly with mentorship, which means that the work team is jointly responsible for a grade level.

Who are you?

We are now looking for a teacher qualified to teach Swedish/English/Norwegian/Social Studies in grades 4–6. We would like you to have previous experience in pedagogical work, be well-versed in the school's governing documents, and have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

You develop and drive your teaching through collegial learning together with the other teachers at the unit. As a teacher at Kimstadskolan, you are the source of security, joy, challenge, encouragement, and development.

You are passionate about making learning visible and finding creative ways to do so, and digital tools are a natural part of your teaching. You believe that systematic quality work is important and are driven by being a natural part of the development work at the school. You are a natural part of creating good routines and a forward-looking approach for our school.
