Do you want to work in a department focused on nursing care with close collaboration where flexibility and openness are valued? We are a large department, which gives you the opportunity to further develop your skills, and you may get the chance to try out several of our different care areas. VO Vård represented Södertälje Hospital in the Magnet4Europe study, and we are now continuing to work with the Magnet model to enable a good work environment and nursing development.
Among us, nursing assistants and nurses work, and the department is also led by nurses. We provide care in several different areas such as internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, geriatrics, and palliative care. We have a total of 360 employees distributed across nine care wards and ASIH (Advanced Home Care), and currently have 173 care beds.
Nursing Assistant to Ward C5 at Södertälje Hospital:
Ward C5 is an internal medicine care ward with 20 beds. We take care of patients who have suffered from stroke, diabetes, and seizures, among others. In our pleasant work team, we are about 30 employees, all here for the patient's benefit. We work in state-of-the-art facilities where all patients have single rooms. This gives our patients a more comfortable stay and you as an employee a good work environment.
As a nursing assistant, you work with patient-proximity tasks, which means you plan and perform daily nursing care for the patient together with the rest of the team.
We are looking for you who want to work together with us in our fantastic team and help further develop our ward.
Your personal qualities:
Qualities we value are personal maturity, attention to detail, and humility with a good attitude towards our patients and your colleagues. As a person, you are engaged, positive, and responsive to patients' needs. You possess empathy and value always putting the patient first. You can work in a structured manner and have the ability to prioritize your tasks when needed. Rapid changes in pace place high demands on good teamwork, making good collaboration skills important.
Your qualifications:
Requirements:
- Trained nursing assistant through the upper secondary school's Care and Nursing Program (3 years, 2500 credits) or the Care and Nursing Program at Komvux, three terms (minimum 1500 credits).
- Socialstyrelsen's certificate of right to use the professional title "undersköterska" (nursing assistant).
- At least 3 years of experience in acute somatic care.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written.
Meritorious:
- Previous work within stroke care.
Employment type:
Permanent position, full-time. Day, evening, and weekend shifts.
