About Us

Do you want to help develop Närhälsan Opaltorget Health Centre? We are looking for a new employee who wants to become part of our team. You will have a varied and interesting assignment; we share the daily tasks, and each person has their own areas of responsibility and focuses on other tasks during their remaining time. You will work in new, beautiful premises with dedicated and professional colleagues. At our centre, the patient encounter is in focus, and we want to make a difference for our registered patients.

Närhälsan Opaltorget Health Centre is located in western Gothenburg, and we have 7,500 registered patients who reflect the demographics, socioeconomics, and age of the area. We are also responsible for care and support residences for the elderly and younger people with functional support needs, as well as home care and Child Health Services (BHV). We continuously work to develop the operations with a focus on medical quality, accessibility, and continuity. We also work more specifically towards different medical areas, which provides an opportunity for development in the role, for example within asthma/COPD and elderly care.

About the Job

Your duties at the health centre cover a broad field and include general medicine, where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work in a health-promoting, advisory, and treatment capacity in primary care, both via phone, chat, home visits, digital healthcare meetings, and at the clinic. Our assignment includes collaboration with municipal primary care, social services, and inpatient care in SAMSA.

The work takes place through both emergency and planned activities. You work largely independently with your own clinic for diabetes patients, where you triage, treat, and follow up with patients. Close collaboration takes place with your colleagues at the unit and cross-professionally in the team, as well as with other actors such as home care and other specialist care. Together with the health centre management, you are responsible for developing and driving the operations forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our assignment, so supervision of students is also included as part of your role at the health centre.

About You

You are a licensed nurse and have supplementary education in diabetes of at least 15 higher education credits. Previous experience working as a diabetes nurse and/or in primary care is meritorious, but we also welcome newly graduated candidates.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can prioritize your tasks effectively.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, sensitive, and have a desire to help others. The work requires a high degree of flexibility as we may need to reschedule based on daily staffing. We also believe that you thrive in teamwork and that collaborating with colleagues and other contacts is second nature to you.

Other

The position involves travel in the local area, mainly in connection with home visits. A driver's license is meritorious as we have access to a leased car. We also have access to electric bikes.

About the Recruitment Process

Selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call candidates for a telephone interview. The hiring manager then makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them to an interview at the health centre.
