At Karl Johansskolan, we are now looking for a substitute primary school teacher for the school-age education center (fritidshem) for the academic year 2026/27.

You will replace a colleague and join one of our work teams for the school-age education center, targeting grades F-3. You will become part of a dedicated team working for the best possible school experience for every student. You are a driven, relational, and creative pedagogue who puts the student at the center of your work.

The school-age education center is divided into four sections, one for each grade. As a primary school teacher for the school-age education center, you plan and conduct teaching and assess students' development. Based on the curriculum and regulatory documents, you create a safe and stimulating pedagogical environment together with your team, strengthening students' knowledge and personal development while providing them with a meaningful leisure time. The school-age education center promotes diverse contacts, social cohesion, and group relationships. During school hours, you collaborate with the rest of the school staff, and the role may also include teaching in practical-esthetic subjects. You consider it natural to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Together, we create a practice that meets students in the best way possible based on their individual needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher for the school-age education center. Previous experience in the profession is an advantage. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's regulatory documents and use them actively in your daily work. You have strong didactic and pedagogical skills and can independently lead and organize your work to create study peace and a safe learning environment for students throughout the day. Your teaching is modern and developed based on evidence-based research. You are proficient in relevant digital tools.

We would appreciate it if you have an interest in students' language development and cooperative learning, as these are areas we work extensively with at Karl Johansskolan.

About the Workplace

Karl Johansskolan is a F-3 school, one of Malmö's oldest and smallest schools, located in the Linnéskolan principal's area, with approximately 220 students. The school is centrally located in Limhamn. We work to ensure that all students have the right to develop according to their abilities, to acquire knowledge in a calm and safe environment, and to be treated with respect. The school-age education center is integrated into the school's premises, and we have a holistic view of the students' learning environment.
