We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist for a long-term consulting assignment with a leading international industrial company. The role is linked to a strategic initiative to optimize aftermarket spare parts deliveries, focusing on cost-efficiency, delivery precision, and improved profitability.

In this role, you will act as the lead purchaser for the project, working closely with aftermarket specialists, regional sales organizations, and suppliers to develop and implement the most commercially viable solutions.

• Manage purchasing activities related to aftermarket and spare parts supply

• Negotiate part prices and drive cost-optimization initiatives

• Analyze and optimize logistics flows to reduce total landed cost

• Challenge existing suppliers and identify alternative sourcing solutions

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure profitable spare parts strategies

• Ensure delivery performance, lead times, and compliance with agreed service levels

• Identified and implemented cost savings within spare parts supply

• Optimized logistics and distribution flows

• Improved profitability in the aftermarket business

• Developed supplier relationships and improved supplier performance

• Ensured spare parts availability with maintained or improved service levels

• At least 10 years of experience in purchasing/procurement

• Documented experience with spare parts, aftermarket, or similar component supply

• Experience in supplier negotiations and commercial contracts

• Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics optimization, and footprint analyses

• Experience working in industrial environments or OEM operations

• Very good proficiency in Swedish and English

• Experience from the automotive industry

• Experience from the heavy vehicle industry or machinery manufacturing

• Knowledge of international logistics and customs handling

• Experience optimizing global supplier networks

• Experience working with SLA-driven deliveries

• Business-driven and analytical
