Värmdö is the meeting place of the archipelago, offering a unique combination of nature's quiet beauty and a more urban lifestyle. Our mission is not just one but many: schools, properties, social services, harbors, healthcare, libraries, elderly care, and many more. We strive to ensure that all residents of Värmdö can live a rich and free life. We want to be the ones who make the dream of a vibrant, secure environment for homes, families, and businesses possible.

To succeed fully, we need diverse competencies and must work together to build a common and trust-based work culture, built on brave, responsible employees who understand the needs and wishes of the residents.

Munkmoraskolan is a small school that is growing. In the autumn term of 2026, the school will have grades F-5 with approximately 175 students. The school is located in central Gustavsberg in Värmdö Municipality with good bus connections and has newly renovated, bright, beautiful, and functional premises. We have a fantastic outdoor environment with large play areas and two artificial turf fields. Additionally, we are close to playgrounds and forest areas.

At Munkmoraskolan, we work to give all students a secure and sustainable learning environment for life, sustainability for the individual, and sustainability for our surroundings. The school has been certified for its work and is both a certified Generation PEP school and a certified Green Flag school. Therefore, we work purposefully to strengthen students' mental and physical health, where school meals also play a central role. Student well-being and security form the foundation of all our work. At Munkmoraskolan, every student is everyone's student! When students finish grade 5 at Munkmora School, they move on to Kvarnbergsskolan for the later years of compulsory school.

Kvarnbergsskolan is a grades 6–9 school located in central Gustavsberg, approximately 30 minutes by bus from Slussen. The school's premises are designed and adapted for work with older grades and underwent extensive renovation and expansion a few years ago.

At our school, a warm and dedicated staff group works with the students' best interests in mind. To ensure support for students, there is a special educational needs team where special needs teachers work in close collaboration with other teachers to support students needing assistance in adapted learning environments and smaller groups. We particularly focus on the school's mission to promote students' all-around personal development. At our school, an important starting point is that academic development goes hand in hand with social development. Therefore, we have several social pedagogues at the school who collaborate with the teachers in the work team regarding the students.
