Hagaskolan in central Umeå is a grades F–9 school with integrated and adapted hearing services. Our operations are characterized by engaged and qualified staff, a positive attitude, and close dialogue – fundamental building blocks in our work to support students in their development.

At Hagaskolan, you will work in an stimulating environment where students' curiosity and development are at the center. Here, you become part of an engaged team where we together create a safe and developmental everyday life for our students.

Your Responsibilities

Your task as a leisure center teacher is to offer a meaningful leisure time where you base your work on the students' needs, interests, and initiatives, but also inspire new discoveries. Together with your colleagues, you offer students a variety of working methods, forms of expression, and learning environments where care and learning are integrated. You collaborate with educators in preschool class and in school, and teach to contribute to students' goal achievement. Contact and cooperation with guardians is an important part of the work. There may also be tasks such as recess duty.

About You

You are well familiar with the school's governing documents and have the ability to vary teaching and activities based on students' needs. You are a secure adult and a good role model who has the ability to connect with students, see each individual, and create a good learning environment. You motivate students by allowing them to be involved and come up with their own suggestions.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

Requirements

• Trained leisure center teacher
• Licensed teacher/applied for teacher license with eligibility to teach in leisure center
• Experience working as a leisure center teacher
• Valid extract from the criminal record register
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing and basic knowledge of English
