Our Operations

Kvarnbergsskolan is a grades 6–9 school located in central Gustavsberg, approximately 30 minutes by bus from Slussen. The school underwent extensive renovation and expansion six years ago, and we now have modern facilities adapted for work with the higher grade levels. The school's craft rooms are adapted for half-class teaching, and there are two rooms for each craft subject.

At Kvarnbergsskolan, a warm and dedicated staff group works with the students' best interests in mind. We enjoy working together, take care of each other, and look after our students. We work with clear structures and routines for daily operations, and we believe in dialogue and transparency.

To ensure support for students, there is, in addition to good regular teaching, a special educational needs team. Special education teachers work in close collaboration with other teachers to support students with special needs in adapted learning environments and smaller groups.

We place special emphasis on the school's mission to promote students' all-round personal development. For us, a key starting point is that academic development goes hand in hand with social development. Therefore, we have several social pedagogues at the school who collaborate with the teachers in the work teams regarding the students.

Your Role

The role as a teacher in Swedish and English includes teaching in grades 6–9. You will belong to a teacher work team and work in close collaboration with competent and experienced colleagues, both teachers in your own team and subject teachers as well as social pedagogues. Mentoring a group of approximately 17 students is included in the position.

Your Experience

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish and English up to grade 9.

Your Personal Qualities

We expect you to be confident in your leadership role, to work with low-affective methods, and to create a teaching situation where students are made active participants. We also expect you to have a positive view of students, based on the belief that students can and want to learn, and that you value differences. We assume that you can and want to collaborate with both students, colleagues, and guardians. It is also important that you actively participate in the work team's efforts regarding the students and other joint tasks, and that you are willing to contribute your experience and competence to the work team and other colleagues.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

For this position, presenting a valid extract from the police criminal record is a prerequisite for employment.

The employment is full-time and is a permanent position with an start date of August 11, 2026.
