We are now looking for three section managers within the Central Maintenance department for our sections: Sheet Metal Workshop, Machine Workshop, and Cranes.

Our workshops are responsible for renovating production equipment and spare parts, large and small. With day-shift and shift-working staff, our workshops deliver a high level of service and quality manufacturing and renovation services to the business. For the role of Section Manager for the Sheet Metal Workshop, you are also the welding responsible person for maintenance on site.

Our crane group is responsible for maintaining all cranes, hoists, lifting tongs, and radio equipment throughout the entire plant area. With high demands for availability from the business, the crane group delivers preventive as well as corrective maintenance with safety, quality, and delivery in focus.

As a section manager, you will lead your work team. Our working method is group-organized, which means that daily operations are planned and led by the employees together with you. Together with your team, as the first-line manager, you are expected to actively drive improvements from a holistic perspective within the section's and workshop's workflows. Good cooperation with the other operations within the central workshop and within SSAB is a prerequisite for succeeding in the assignment. You will be part of the management group for Central Maintenance.

About you

• You have a high school diploma with a technical focus, preferably mechanical engineering. A university degree with a technical focus is meritorious.
• You have several years of experience as a manager or in a leading position, preferably with personnel responsibility.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English is required for the position.
• You have a valid driver's license (Category B).
• If you have management/leadership training, we consider this meritorious.
• Experience from the workshop industry and/or industrial mechanics is meritorious.
• For the Sheet Metal Workshop Manager role, it is also meritorious to have IWS, IWT, or IWE training.
• You have good communication skills and are easy to collaborate with.
• You have good problem-solving skills.
• You are driven and can handle stress.
