Our Operations

Medical Ward 2 is a general medical ward with a focus on stroke and internal medicine. Here, you will gain broad competence in general medicine and stroke care. We are a cheerful and cohesive team striving to constantly improve our care. We value a secure work environment where everyone, both patients and staff, feel involved and satisfied.

Most of our patients come from our own emergency department, meaning that as a nurse here, you will meet patients in the acute phase. However, we also receive patients for aftercare from Uppsala University Hospital. During scheduling periods, rotation to our sister ward, Medical Ward 1, may occur. Medical Ward 1 is a general medical ward with a focus on cardiology and internal medicine.

Your Role

As a night nurse here, you work in a team with assistant nurses. You work together in close care, providing support and security to patients in their situation.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience in stroke and/or cardiac care, as well as at least 1 year of professional experience as a nurse, is meritorious.

Your Competence

As a person, we want you to be meticulous, responsible, and enjoy teamwork. It is important that you thrive working in a structured and efficient manner and have the ability to adjust your work pace when needed. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

What We Offer

We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date as agreed.

We offer all staff working with stroke patients a distance education course in stroke competence at Umeå University – totaling 3 credits.
