Your Role
The Nursing Unit is looking for two licensed nurses for home care in Linden. Together with your two colleagues, you will be responsible for approximately 60 patients in regular and special housing, including the care and nursing home Eklunda, which is part of your catchment area. The location is in Bergvik, about one mile outside of Söderhamn.
The work involves both independent work and close teamwork. You identify and prevent risks in care, as well as map, plan, and follow up on patients' needs for health and medical care interventions. The role also includes educating and supervising nursing staff in a pedagogical and professional manner.
Documentation is done in the Lifecare HSL system, and the work also includes registration in several national quality registers. You collaborate continuously with other healthcare providers, both internally within the organization and externally, to ensure safe and cohesive care.
We offer good opportunities to contribute to and participate in development work, as the operations are conducting ongoing development initiatives in several areas.
Workplace Description
The Nursing Unit consists of nurses, specialist nurses, and district nurses who work in care and nursing homes, short-term care, functional support, and home care. The unit is responsible for the municipality's health and medical care services around the clock.
Here, you become part of an engaged team where you work in close collaboration with assistant nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and unit managers to ensure safe, secure, and person-centered care.
Working hours are primarily during the day, but evening and weekend shifts are included. Currently, you work every eighth weekend. During evening and weekend shifts, the assignment covers the entire municipality, providing variety and the opportunity for broad experience.
We actively work to promote a good and sustainable work environment and therefore offer favorable working time conditions. Full-time corresponds to 37 hours per week. In addition, we offer flexible working hours, the possibility of holiday exchange, a wellness allowance, and free access to the municipality's gym.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. For this position, you must have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and hold a B driver's license.
As a person, you are secure and independent in your professional role, with genuine commitment and a positive attitude towards your work. You are flexible and have the ability to see opportunities in change. You make well-founded decisions based on available information and take responsibility for your stance.
You work in a structured manner and have good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work while adhering to set timeframes. At the same time, you are communicative and clear, and adapt your message to the recipient and situation so that expectations are clear for all parties involved.
Since the work is carried out in a team, it is important that you have good cooperation skills and a professional, respectful approach. You are receptive, solution-focused, and actively contribute to a positive work climate. You are happy to share your knowledge and experiences, take initiative, and see the big picture with the best interests of the operations in focus.
Professional experience within municipal health and medical care is meritorious, as is supervisor training, further education in elderly care, or district nurse education, but these are not requirements.
Personal qualities will be given great weight.
We process applications on an ongoing basis, so don't wait to send yours. Apply today!
