Malmö Friskola is a small school located in Kirseberg, Malmö. The school comprises a preschool with 50 children, as well as a primary school and an after-school center with 150 students. We are currently looking for a qualified educator interested in working in a small school environment with short decision-making chains.

Responsibilities as a Special Needs Teacher (Speciallärare)

• Collaborate with class teachers to adapt tasks and teaching situations to help students meet knowledge criteria.
• Work with students individually or in small groups.
• Manage your own time autonomously to ensure that students requiring special educational support receive it.
• Collaborate with the school counselor and special educator within the student health team.
• Work actively towards an inclusive school environment.

Responsibilities as a Special Educator (Specialpedagog)

• Supervise and guide teachers and work teams on how to adapt teaching and create accessible learning environments.
• Analyze learning environments and teaching methods.
• Collaborate with the school counselor and special needs teacher within the student health team.
• Assess students' needs for special support, assist in developing action plans, and support the creation of additional accommodations.
• Work actively towards an inclusive school environment.

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Special Educator or Special Needs Teacher.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of professional experience.
• Strong pedagogical and didactic knowledge.
• A respectful and low-affect approach to student interaction.
• Experience in adapting learning environments.

Merits

• Several years of experience in special educational work.
• Experience in assessing the knowledge levels of Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) students.

Malmö Friskola offers individual salary setting. This is a part-time position covering 40–50% of full-time hours. We look forward to receiving your application!
