Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for two preschool teachers for the Vasa Kyrkogatan preschool. Here, the children experience safety, joy, and curiosity every day. Play is central to the teaching we provide and is an important part of the children's learning.

As a preschool teacher, you meet the children in both planned activities and spontaneous moments. Together you explore, ask questions, and find answers. You take care of the children's ideas and interests and make everyday life meaningful.

We work to ensure that the children at the preschool feel a sense of community across departmental boundaries. We work with age-homogeneous groups, where staff follow the children and work with all age groups in the preschool. By adapting and creating clear environments according to age, we aim to create conditions for the children to develop together and also explore and develop their own abilities.

You lead the pedagogical work together with colleagues in an engaged work team. Together you plan, implement, document, and follow up on the education based on the preschool curriculum. We believe in a way of working where collaboration, responsibility, and clear communication are a natural part of everyday life.

We are looking for you who:

• are a certified preschool teacher
• have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• have good knowledge of using digital tools in work

You take responsibility for both your own and the work team's tasks and contribute to good collaboration.

You build trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. You are also receptive in your approach and show respect and care for others.

You understand that children have different prerequisites and absorb knowledge in different ways. Based on this, you create a safe and developmental environment where every child has the opportunity to develop at their own pace.

It is meritorious if you have knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), and visual supports, as well as experience in creating conscious learning environments. We would also like you to have knowledge of play-responsive teaching and experience with project-oriented working methods.
