Are you someone who enjoys creating structure and driving improvement in an organization with a vital societal mission? Do you want to contribute to the development of public transport by ensuring the right personnel are in the right place at the right time? We are currently in an exciting phase where we are building a new function for long-term workforce planning and need a manager for the team who will take a holistic approach to workforce planning across our entire Swedish operations.

About the Role
In the role of Workforce Planning Manager, your primary responsibility will be to define, implement, and continuously develop the workforce planning process throughout the Swedish operations. You will have the opportunity to shape both the team and working methods from the ground up. You will directly lead five long-term planners and have functional responsibility for the short-term planning managed locally in the traffic areas.

The role is crucial for ensuring efficient staffing, balanced workload, and economically sustainable operations of our public transport. You will be part of the company's planning department and report to the Planning Director. The position is based in Gothenburg, with regular travel to operational sites.

You will work together with the group's expert team in the company's development work regarding the workforce planning process and its interface with traffic planning. You will drive analyses, measure efficiency, and initiate improvements in collaboration with the operational business. Key responsibilities:

  • Build, lead, and develop the team of long-term planners.
  • Exercise functional responsibility for short-term planning, which is managed locally in the traffic areas, and ensure a unified working method between long- and short-term planning across the entire operation.
  • Define suitable key performance indicators (KPIs) and produce reports on the efficiency of the workforce planning process, such as under-time and overtime.
  • Drive continuous improvements and conduct analyses of the planning process in collaboration with the operational business.
  • Support the operational business in workforce requirement calculations and other workforce planning matters.
  • Collaborate with the traffic planning department and define the interface between traffic planning and workforce planning processes.
  • Ensure strong super-user competence in the IT systems used in the workforce planning process.
  • Define and conduct relevant training for those working with workforce planning.

We are looking for you who
Have a relevant post-secondary education in logistics, planning, economics, HR, or equivalent work experience from an organization with complex workforce planning. Have experience leading employees, preferably in an environment where you have had direct personnel responsibility but also needed to drive change through functional responsibility without a formal managerial title. Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, as well as a good understanding of, or experience with, labor law and collective agreements. It is not a requirement that you are a super-user in HASTUS or other planning systems yourself, but experience with such systems is advantageous.

As a person, you need to be analytical, structured, and meticulous, enjoy problem-solving, and have the ability to think innovatively when faced with new challenges. You have good pedagogical skills and thrive in supporting, training, and building networks within an organization. You need to have the combined ability to thrive in a team while simultaneously driving your own work forward. You contribute to a positive work environment and have good collaboration skills.
