RESPONSIBILITIES

As an investigator, you will play a central role in the municipality's work on safety, crime prevention measures, and societal security. The position is located within the Security and Preparedness Unit in the Executive Office, where you will work closely with the municipal leadership, operations, authorities, and external collaboration partners.

The main focus is on developing, coordinating, and following up on the municipality's crime prevention and safety-enhancing work. At the same time, you will be a key resource in areas such as civil preparedness and civil defense. The role also includes qualified investigative and development work within other parts of the Municipal Board's area of responsibility.

This is a position for you if you appreciate variety and want to work on issues that are highly prioritized for the municipality's development.

In the role, you will among other things:

• Coordinate and develop the municipality's crime prevention and safety-enhancing work.
• Produce situation reports, analyses, decision support materials, and follow-ups.
• Coordinate the municipality's work according to the Act on Municipal Responsibility for Crime Prevention.
• Collaborate with the police, business community, civil society, and other authorities.
• Contribute to risk and vulnerability analyses, continuity planning, and civil defense.
• Contribute to the municipality's work on security, crisis preparedness, and total defense issues.
• Lead or participate in investigations, projects, and development assignments within the Municipal Board's area of operations.
• Prepare cases and produce material for political decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

• An academic degree in criminology, political science, or another education that the employer deems relevant.
• Experience in qualified investigative, analytical, or development work.
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Experience working in a structured and independent manner.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in crime prevention or safety-enhancing work.
• Experience from the public sector.
• Knowledge of municipal operations and politically governed organizations.
• Experience working with security, crisis preparedness, civil defense, or total defense issues.
• Experience in collaboration work between different actors.

To succeed in the role, you need to be analytical, proactive, and have a good ability to see connections between different societal issues. You thrive on coordinating and creating structure in complex processes and find it easy to build trust-based relationships.

You can switch between strategic development work and more operational tasks, and you have the ability to drive issues forward even when conditions change.
