Job Description
Rösjö School is an inclusive school where all students are encouraged to work according to their own prerequisites, feel safe, and be part of a community.
Rösjö School is a municipal primary and adapted primary school with approximately 400 students from preschool class to grade 6, located in Edsberg, Sollentuna Municipality. With proximity to nature reserves, an inspiring schoolyard, and active classrooms, we create movement throughout the school day and find learning both indoors and outdoors. Movement is an important part of the school's health-promoting work, visible in our daily high-intensity activities on the schoolyard led by the PE teachers. Rösjö School features a large schoolyard with an artificial turf field, a sports field, nature reserves, and is close to Rösjö Swimming Pool. The environment is inviting and fosters a desire for learning, play, and movement.
The school works based on the evidence-based Olweus Program to prevent bullying. Rösjö School is Olweus-certified for the academic years 2024/2025 and 2025/2026.
Rösjö School's primary and adapted primary sections have seven lead teachers. Our lead teachers, together with the school management, lead the development work for the entire staff, which takes place every week.
The school focuses on digital tools and has a good infrastructure where the school, from preschool class to grade 6, is a one-to-one device school. A digitalization mentor works at the school to lead and support further digital development within the operations. We would appreciate it if you have good experience in using digital tools in your teaching as a part of creating learning and development.
At Rösjö School, your task is to work for the student's entire school day. During school hours, you will collaborate with the responsible teaching teacher based on the after-school center curriculum. In the afternoons, you work together with the after-school center team, carrying out planned activities while providing space for recreation and free play. You need to see learning in play.
Through your teaching and activities, you create conditions for all students to succeed. You actively work on building relationships with both students and guardians. In your teaching, you use visual aids and digital tools as a natural part of creating conditions for learning and development. Movement is of great importance in this health-promoting work.
You are a team player and see the win in collaboration. You systematically involve students in the evaluation of carried-out activities to create student participation and influence. During the workday, you are part of a team with qualified teachers, after-school center teachers, after-school center staff, and special education teachers. It is crucial that you believe that collaboration between home and school is an important factor for students' learning.
Qualifications
It is an advantage if you are a qualified after-school center teacher with a teaching license and are accustomed to leading and developing recess activities.
We are looking for you who are structured, enjoy working together, have strong leadership skills, and believe in relationship-building as an important process for promoting learning. Your planned activities are based on the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School (Lgr22), giving students the prerequisites to develop their abilities.
You should be good at creating good relationships and working preventively with early interventions to support students in their development.
Good knowledge of digital tools, where you, in your role as an after-school center leader/teacher, utilize various digital tools in your planned activities.
What We Offer
We offer an operation with high pedagogical competence where you, together with future colleagues, challenge and develop each other.
The school has its own cooking kitchen that prepares high-quality food, and as an employee, you have the opportunity to eat a pedagogical lunch.
