Are you a highly experienced Pega Senior System Architect (SSA)? Are you also accustomed to taking significant responsibility for technical development within a product? We are looking for you with deep expertise in Pega Platform (v8+) to work in a modular and integration-intensive architecture. Together, we get Sweden to work! Do you want to join us?

Who we are

On the Digital Mediation department within IT, approximately 450 people work on designing and developing digital solutions for the future Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen). We are in the midst of an exciting digital transformation. As a Pega developer, you will be part of a team that maintains and develops systems for internal users, primarily employment consultants.

The Support and Measures section consists of approximately 10 colleagues. The products in the team are central to decisions on measures for job seekers and subsidies for employers. The product is built on a modular architecture with a focus on scalability, flexibility, and reusable components. The solutions are developed and maintained using technologies such as REST APIs, JMS listeners, Queue Processors, Job Schedulers, as well as modern interfaces based on Pega Constellation.

You will be part of an agile team responsible for the entire process from idea to development and follow-up of digital solutions. We value collaboration and openness. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills, and we encourage all employees to take courses and engage in professional development.

Who are we looking for?

As a Pega developer, you take significant responsibility for both your own performance and the team's deliverables. You have good communication skills, collaborate well, and build strong relationships. You are driven by constantly developing yourself and the quality of your deliverables.

You have a good overview of goals and forward plans for the work you and your team are driving, and you communicate in a simple and understandable way what has been done, what remains, and what obstacles or risks exist to achieving the goals. You are expected to analyze, plan, execute maintenance and development in line with the Swedish Public Employment Service's goals. The work also involves continuously improving ways of working, strategies, processes, methods, and tools. You have the ability to convey knowledge and information in a pedagogical manner and contribute a coaching approach towards more junior colleagues.

Our offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period. The location is Solna.

We offer you the opportunity to work at a workplace where we value balance between work and private life. You will have access to a generous vacation agreement, flexible working hours, and the possibility to work remotely up to 49 percent on an annual basis. Our benefits also include fitness activities during working hours and a favorable fitness allowance.

As an employee of the Swedish Public Employment Service, you also have access to professional development and career opportunities within the agency. Through our work, we contribute to an inclusive and sustainable society, where you have the opportunity to make a real difference for individuals and for society as a whole.

Basic requirements for the position

  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways and assessed as equivalent
  • At least 5 years of work experience as an SSA
  • PCSSA certified (or higher)
  • PCDC certified
  • Previous work experience working according to Pega best practices, for example with component architecture for reusability and scalability
  • Can communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

Other merits for the position

  • Experience of IT development within a Swedish agency
  • Experience of development in large, complex Pega system implementations
  • Experience of process modeling and requirements specification

  • Certification in SAFe or Scrum

The government's values guide us in our daily work. As an employee here, you are expected to work fairly, impartially, and with high integrity, and to contribute to maintaining and strengthening trust in our agency.
