In Bengtsfors Municipality, we work close to each other, close to the decisions, and close to the residents. We are now looking for a Strategic Analyst who wants to strengthen our decision-making process and drive development in the municipality.

With us, you will have a central role in the Municipal Executive Office with the opportunity to make a real impact.

This is your job

As a Strategic Analyst, you work on producing qualified analyses and decision support materials for the municipal executive board and political bodies.

You will operate across the entire municipality's operations and work on issues important for the future – from governance and organization to development and societal matters.

The role involves working both independently and in close collaboration with others.

Your main responsibilities

• Conduct strategic and municipality-wide investigations
• Produce decision support materials for the municipal executive board and committees
• Analyze operations, statistics, and the external environment to support development and prioritization
• Coordinate and lead assignments or projects involving multiple operations
• Support managers and operations in investigation and development matters
• Present analyses and proposals for decisions to leadership and politics

The work is varied and can range from shorter analyses to larger, complex investigations.

Conditions for the position

We are looking for someone who is analytical, structured, and has a strong interest in societal development.

Qualifications

• University degree in fields such as political science, public administration, economics, law, or equivalent
• Experience in qualified investigative or analytical work
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
• Ability to independently drive assignments from start to finish

Merits

• Experience from the public sector, preferably municipal operations
• Experience in project management or change management
• Experience working with statistics, follow-up, or analysis
