About Us
Citizen Service is located in the entrance of the municipal building and offers a unified public service under one roof. As a Civic Guide, you are a vital link between residents and the municipality. You meet people in various life situations and guide them correctly with their inquiries, whether they concern contact with authorities, public information, or municipal services. We provide citizens, visitors, and business owners with service that is fast, consistent, and of high quality.
The position is located within the Communications and Development Department, where you, together with colleagues, work to strengthen service, reception, and accessibility throughout the municipality. You will become a central part of our work to develop Citizen Service and create a municipality where it is easy to get help.
Your Role
The daily work at Citizen Service involves receiving visitors and answering phone calls, as well as handling incoming questions and feedback via digital systems and email. You provide answers directly or guide inquiries to the correct authority. Citizen Service also provides internal service to the municipality's various operations.
As a Civic Guide, it is important to maintain a good and constructive dialogue with the various departments to develop the service for citizens. Together, we make a difference for those we serve. As an employee of Citizen Service, you are a generalist with good general knowledge and a solid understanding of how a municipality functions.
Citizen Service also serves as the issuing office for SITHS cards (service IDs) and collaborates with other public operations and authorities in various matters.
Who Are You?
You are positive, proactive, and express yourself well both verbally and in writing. You enjoy working with people and service, focusing heavily on meeting the needs of visitors. It is important that you have the desire to help others, are attentive and open, and can adapt your working methods and communication. Collaboration among colleagues is very important.
You are secure and stable and have the ability to handle stressful situations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and your ability to collaborate with others. We are looking for you who have experience working in public operations with a focus on service and information.
It is an advantage if you have been involved in setting up, or otherwise have experience from, a contact center. You also have good IT skills and are accustomed to working in multiple systems simultaneously, using modern technology to search for and utilize information.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education with work experience in customer service/customer contact that the employer deems relevant for the position.
- Fluency in speaking and writing Swedish and English. Other languages are an advantage.
- As an employee of Lilla Edet Municipality, you have good digital competence and use digital tools in a secure and flexible manner in your daily life.
Upon employment, you must be able to present a valid ID document.
