Welcome to us

Preschool Area 2, comprising municipal preschools, consists of 10 preschools, each with a unique character, while management and leadership remain clear and uniform. The unit comprises approximately 230 children and 45 employees. The leadership team consists of the principal and the deputy principal. Additionally, support functions are available, such as guidance from a special needs pedagogue within the district. We work with a goal- and result-oriented approach and strive for equity within the organization. Our goal is to provide a good preschool for all children with very high quality. This means we focus on developing our learning organization and enabling collegial learning in various forums. Competence development occurs continuously within our focus areas: language-developing approaches in preschool, and culture, created for and by children. At the preschool, you will work in a context where we see the employee as our most important resource and the work team as a key to continued high goal achievement. We are now looking for you, a substitute preschool teacher, who wants to contribute to our development.

Your role

Working as a preschool teacher offers unique and significant opportunities to influence and contribute to children's development. As a preschool teacher, you help create a positive and developmental environment, with a good balance of care and learning, daily for each child and for the whole group. You do this by being responsible for the pedagogical work according to the preschool's operational goals. Our daily structure, which is based on children's participation and influence, forms the foundation of our pedagogical work. Our pedagogical idea is built on an exploratory approach where our primary tool is pedagogical documentation. Using tools such as observation, documentation, and reflection, we make children's learning processes visible and determine the direction for the next steps in the pedagogical work. We also see pedagogical documentation as a natural part of our systematic quality work and our operational development. The role includes supporting other preschool teacher colleagues in line with the preschool's development.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have:

• A preschool teacher education and a preschool teacher license.
• Computer skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience from the profession and experience with introducing new children.
• Previously documented leadership experience.

You have knowledge and ideas on how to realize the goals and values of the curriculum together with your colleagues, and you are accustomed to leading. Your focus on the child is clear and is reflected in your attitude in daily life. In your professional role, you are engaged, professional, and proactive. You are also responsible and structured, with a good ability to plan and prioritize your work effectively. Your ability to collaborate is excellent, and you are accommodating in your interactions with children, guardians, and colleagues. You handle conflicts in a listening and constructive manner. Furthermore, you have good communication skills in both speech and writing. You enjoy and have experience in leading and motivating others.

As part of Stockholm City, the administration offers preschool and leisure activities, care for the elderly and people with disabilities, social services, preventive and safety-promoting work, urban development, and park maintenance to our 105,000 residents in the district. We face exciting challenges as the Enskede Årsta Vantör district grows and entirely new neighborhoods are built. Approximately 18,000 new apartments are planned by the year 2030.
