The Water & Sewerage Department at Hultsfred Municipality is looking for a Plant Technician.

As a Plant Technician in Water & Sewerage (VA) at Hultsfred Municipality, you will ensure that residents receive clean drinking water and that the sewage system operates safely and efficiently. This is a socially important role where you can combine technology, problem-solving, and practical work – and clearly see the results of your efforts.

The Water & Sewerage Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipality's water and sewerage facilities and pipe networks. You will become part of a team of four plant technicians where collaboration, safety, and order are important – although occasional solo work is also part of the role.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of Plant Technician, you work with the operation, supervision, and maintenance of the municipality's water and sewerage facilities and pipe networks. Examples of tasks include:

• Operation and maintenance of water and sewerage facilities and pipe networks
• Supervision, troubleshooting, and measures during operational disruptions
• Ongoing improvement work to develop the operation
• Documentation/self-inspections and work according to routines for quality, environment, and working environment
• Collaboration with the department's project managers in planned work and improvements
• Ensuring that the operation complies with current laws and regulations (e.g., food legislation and the Environmental Code)

On-call duty is included. You enter on-call duty when the employer assesses that you have sufficient experience with the tasks.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who want to help develop our water and sewerage operations!

You don't need to know everything from the start – the most important thing is that you have the willingness to learn, are curious, and enjoy practical work. If you have experience from similar jobs, for example in construction, operation, or technology, it is a plus but not a requirement.

Previous experience with machines or technical equipment is meritorious. Education or experience within water and sewerage or process industry is also an extra plus.

Requirements

• Category B driver's license
• Basic knowledge of Swedish (English is meritorious)

Meritorious

• Experience in operation/maintenance, technical work, construction, or similar
• Experience working with machines, pumps, control and regulation equipment, or other technical equipment
• Education or experience within water and sewerage, process industry, or related areas
