Gynecology and Obstetrics Surgery in Lund is the center for gynecological tumor surgery in the southern healthcare region. On the ward, we perform gynecological and obstetrical surgeries, both elective and acute, and provide emergency services around the clock. Our ward has 20 years of experience in robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery for the operation of uterine and cervical cancer. It is a natural part of our work to constantly keep ourselves updated in both robotic surgery and major open surgery.

We are a dedicated and positive group of employees working on the ward. The operations are both exciting and challenging, and we value work characterized by personal responsibility, involvement, commitment, and collaboration between different professional categories and the nearest manager.

Job Description

As an enrolled nurse with us, you are an important part of the perioperative team and contribute to creating safe and secure care for our patients. You work closely with operating room nurses, anesthesia nurses, anesthesiologists, anesthesia enrolled nurses, and surgeons, playing a central role in ensuring the surgical workflow runs smoothly. Your tasks include preparing operating rooms, receiving and preparing patients for surgery, contributing to logistics and material handling, as well as cleaning and restoring the room between procedures. The role is practical, varied, and central to creating an efficient and safe surgical workflow.

Education and competence development are offered at the workplace, which will give you broad competence within gynecological care. We work on shifts, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and nights.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as an enrolled nurse and meet the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current program structure. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required.

Previous work experience within surgery and/or anesthesia, as well as education as a specialist enrolled nurse with a focus on anesthesia, surgery, or intensive care, are considered meritorious for the position.

As a person, you are engaged, responsive, responsible, and service-oriented. You are confident in your role as an enrolled nurse and have the ability to make both major and minor decisions. Furthermore, you can prioritize well and have the ability to adapt when new situations arise that require us to adjust our work. You contribute to a good atmosphere and good collaboration in the team in a non-hierarchical way, as well as through good communication to achieve the best care quality for our patients.
