About our vacancy

Your tasks will be adaptable based on your preferences combined with the clinic's needs. Tasks at the clinic may include assessment interviews, acute and planned cases, and/or investigation and treatment work with children, adolescents, and their families. All employees working clinically are offered excellent supervision opportunities. Supervision is provided. Education is of utmost importance, and there are also excellent opportunities for further training here.

You will work in a team consisting of doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and secretaries. The workplace will primarily be located in Alingsås. The clinic is organizationally part of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic at Södra Älvsborg Hospital, Borås.

The position is a fixed-term assignment from October 2026 to October 2027.

About us

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic in Alingsås is responsible for providing child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient care in the municipalities of Alingsås, Lerum, Vårgårda, and Herrljunga. The catchment area has approximately 20,000 children and adolescents aged 0–18. The clinic is located near Alingsås Hospital. We have an established and good collaboration with child health services, social services, schools, and several other partners in the field.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a social worker or a licensed counselor, preferably with experience working with children, adolescents, and families. It is also meritorious if you are a licensed healthcare counselor or eligible for such licensure. Further education in the field is meritorious, especially in family therapy. We place great emphasis on good teamwork skills and personal suitability.
