About our open position

Your tasks involve psychosocial treatment work, including assessment interviews, acute and planned patient visits, support for relatives of children and families, collaboration with neighboring care providers and authorities, and documentation.

You will work in a team consisting of doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, care assistants, rehabilitation coordinators, and physiotherapists. Your role in the team is to serve as a primary care contact and to pay attention to psychosocial aspects. You will receive supervision together with the other social workers at the clinic, as well as opportunities for further education.

About us

The Psychiatry Clinic in Alingsås is part of adult psychiatry at Södra Älvsborg Hospital. The clinic serves the catchment areas of Alingsås and Lerum municipalities, with a population of approximately 90,000. Due to its location, the Alingsås clinic has excellent transport and communication links. Our staff includes nurses, doctors, care assistants, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, secretaries, as well as the unit manager and clinic coordinator. The social work group currently consists of four social workers, who will soon be five. All have specializations and long experience in psychiatric care. Most of the group has worked at the clinic for many years, contributing to stability and security. The group is characterized by openness, engagement, and collegial care, where laughter is a natural part of daily work.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a social worker or a licensed health and social care counselor, and who preferably have previous experience working within social services and/or psychiatry. Competence in addiction and/or psychosis care is an advantage. To fit in with us, we want you to have the ability to plan your work independently while coordinating with colleagues in the team. We place great emphasis on the ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
