About the workplace

Kronaskolan F-6 is located on a hill in Älvängen with a view over the Göta River valley. We work with the core idea that all children are everyone's children, to create the best conditions for becoming a really good school.

Kronaskolan consists of three units; primary school F-6, preschool, and adapted primary school. Together, we have a joint responsibility for approximately 915 children and students. Kronaskolan F-6 is located in two different buildings. From the academic year 2026-2027, grades F-3 will be taught in Kronahuset and grades 4-6 in Madenhuset.

Kronaskolan F-3 will consist of:

• Preschool class team
• Team 1
• Team 2
• Team 3
• After-school team
• Student Welfare (SU) Team

Kronaskolan 4-6 will consist of:

• Team 4
• Team 5
• Team 6
• PREST Team (Arts and Sports)
• Student Welfare (SU) Team
• Support functions (special needs educator, special teacher, school counselor, student coordinator, and student assistant)

This advertisement concerns the recruitment of two positions: one involving teaching craft (slöjd) in grade 3 in both craft subjects, and one involving teaching in grades 4-6 in one of the craft subjects.

Job Responsibilities

Teaching in the craft subject takes place in subject-equipped classrooms in both Kronahuset (F-3) and Madenhuset (4-6).

Position 1: Grade F-3

You are part of Team 3 together with other teachers teaching in grade 3. You teach grade 3 in both craft subjects. You will also teach our special education group in craft. You do not have a designated mentor responsibility but teach slightly more in return.

Position 2: Grades 4-6

You are part of a PREST team with a PE teacher, a music teacher, and a craft teacher colleague. You teach all students in grades 4-6. You do not have a designated mentor responsibility but teach slightly more in return. You primarily conduct analog teaching based on the meeting and interaction between student and teacher. Where factually justifiable, you use digital tools. You will primarily teach one craft subject, likely textile craft, but this may change.

The work consists mainly of planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing teaching together with your subject colleague, but also with other teams and colleagues, based on the students' needs and the organization's goals. You have a systematic approach to your tasks and value analyzing your own performance and development.

As part of the school staff, you are also an important actor in the joint work to create safety and study environment throughout the school.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach craft.

You appreciate the benefits of belonging to a team and have the ability to both follow jointly made decisions and actively contribute to the school's development by bringing your own ideas and encouraging innovation. In addition to collaborating with the team, you also collaborate with other teams and the student welfare team. You have the ability to both give and receive help constructively.

In the classroom, you have clear pedagogical leadership. You build relationships and create a safe and structured environment where students see each other as resources and learn together. At the same time, you have the ability to adapt teaching to individual needs when required.

Other

Personal suitability is highly valued. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis. Attach your teacher certification to your application.
