About Us

The Sexual Assault Clinic belongs to Regionhälsan's business area Expert Units and started in April 2025. We meet patients at a later stage after the assault, when the acute phase has passed. The operation is cross-professional with both medical and psychosocial competence and is based on a rights perspective where everyone, regardless of functionality, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual identity, or sexual practice, should feel welcome and receive respectful and secure treatment.

The assignment is regional and covers patients from the entire Västra Götaland Region. In addition to direct patient contacts, we work consultatively, provide support to care neighbors, and offer supervision in individual cases. The operation is mainly located in Gothenburg with service points in Borås and Skövde. The staff group consists of approximately 17 employees, including midwives, physiotherapists, gynecologists, counselors, psychiatrists, psychologists, and administrators. Together with other operations within Expert Units, we offer a broad range of treatments within sexual health.

The clinic has received advance notice of a state grant for expanded work against sexual violence over the next two and a half years. Therefore, we are now looking for another full-time physiotherapist.

About the Work

As a physiotherapist with us, you will have the opportunity to help develop the clinic long-term. You work clinically with the assessment of trauma-related psychophysiological factors, movement quality, and ability for autonomous regulation, as well as with treatment focusing on body awareness and regulation of bodily stress reactions.

You also participate in designing and implementing educational initiatives for physiotherapists in primary care, so that they can continue physiotherapeutic treatment even when experiences of sexual assault emerge. In addition, you participate in the training of municipal staff working with, for example, people with intellectual disabilities, the elderly, and within community life. Together with the team, you also develop the clinic's group therapy by integrating physiotherapeutic interventions, especially for people with dissociation and/or early complex traumas.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist and have several years of experience in treatment work involving sexual trauma in the anamnesis, with patients within psychiatry or other operations that meet complex psychophysiological problems. It is meritorious if you have further education in trauma treatment methods and sexology. We place great importance on your ability to cooperate and that you are secure in your professional role. As a person, you are flexible, enjoy working in a team, are development-oriented, and have a professional working style and attitude.

Conditions

The position is a project employment for 2.5 years, subject to a decision on the state grant.

Salary form: Monthly salary, individual salary setting.

We warmly welcome your application!
