Do you want to make a real difference this summer? We are looking for dedicated treatment assistants who can work full-time during the summer of 2026 in one of our meaningful operations. Within the Housing and Homelessness business area, we work daily with people living in vulnerable life situations, often characterized by substance abuse, mental health issues, and social problems.

As a treatment assistant, you will become an important part of a team that supports people in vulnerable life situations. The work involves creating structure, building relationships, providing individual support, and contributing to a safe and developmental daily life for our clients. The role requires professional interaction, good collaboration skills, and the ability to make decisions even in challenging situations.

We are looking for someone who

We are looking for you who have ongoing or completed education in, for example, the Social Work program, Social Pedagogy, Treatment Pedagogy, or other behavioral scientific education assessed as equivalent.

Can work full-time during the summer of 2026. Have a B-driver's license and are comfortable driving in Gothenburg. Have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and are confident, responsible, and have a respectful approach.

Meritorious

Experience or knowledge within mental health and/or substance abuse, and knowledge of MI (Motivational Interviewing) and low-affective interaction (LAB).

About Us

The South West Social Services is one of four social services departments in the City of Gothenburg with around 900 employees. In the South West urban area, approximately 120,000 residents live, and the area stretches from Billdal to Högsbohöjd and to the southern archipelago. The department's mission is that children, young people, and adults should be able to live a safe and independent life, and that children and young people have a rich leisure time. The department also works to support people experiencing homelessness to obtain permanent housing. Through collaboration with civil society, local business, and other actors, we aim to increase public health and safety in the area.
