The Social Services Department is responsible for working with social services and providing support so that everyone in the municipality feels safe and has equal opportunities in life. The Workplace

We are now looking for assistant nurses (undersköterskor) for Home Care Centre West.

We are a highly competent team passionate about delivering high-quality care and support to our clients. We are based in central Trelleborg, close to public transport, with walking distance to bus and train stations. Our clients are within cycling distance. We provide electric bikes and regular bicycles to ensure convenient transportation during your shifts.

Job Responsibilities

When working in home care, you help and support clients in their own homes based on a care decision, assisting with tasks they cannot manage themselves. This may include personal care, helping to heat meals, accompanying on walks, making beds, and occasionally cleaning. Pharmacy errands are also part of the role.

It is important to provide good service in the home and enable people with support needs to choose to remain living at home, experiencing safety and quality. Daily work is entered into a planning system. This working method creates structure and efficiency, ensuring everyone knows what/how and which tasks need to be performed.

The role includes certain health and medical tasks delegated by licensed healthcare/rehabilitation personnel, such as exercise assistance, medication administration, insulin injection, etc. Within home care, we document in the Life Care system.

The role of an assistant nurse means you get to work with something of the best and most rewarding there is: making everyday life safe and meaningful for our clients. We always put the client at the center.

Qualifications

You, the applicant, are a trained assistant nurse or have other education that the employer deems relevant for the work. Great importance is placed on personal suitability and responsibility. We would like you to be stress-resistant and enjoy new challenges. In your professional role, you will meet many new clients and colleagues, requiring teamwork.

The work varies from day to day. It is important that you can see opportunities and solutions to problems. The job requires good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as you need to communicate clearly with clients and document interventions in the system. Working in home care requires that you can cycle.

Other Information

Two full-time permanent positions, evening and weekend shifts only.

Four full-time temporary positions (6–12 months), shifts according to schedule (day/evening/weekends).
