RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for an employee for the Children and Youth Unit within the Individual and Family Care. The position includes authority exercise according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU). We investigate children's needs based on BBIC, assess, and follow up on decided measures. Structured interventions at home, preventive work, and work towards our outpatient care are important parts of our tasks. With us, we strive to provide support at an early stage; to succeed with this, we collaborate with other authorities and organizations both within and outside the municipality. A good reception and good contact with those we meet are an important part of the operations.
The Children and Youth Unit is an engaged work group consisting of four social secretaries, one reception secretary, and two foster care/family law secretaries. We also have close administrative support and a developer linked to us. All this contributes to stability and security even in acute situations that often arise in reception and investigation work.
The Individual and Family Care in Surahammar is an organization with good opportunities for internal career development, both by broadening competence through different types of services and by taking on developmental assignments within one's regular position.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have a social worker education. You have the ability to meet people with dignity and establish contact with both clients, authorities, and colleagues. You are confident in yourself and proactive. You are engaged, can express yourself well in speech and writing, and have the ability to continuously manage documentation as the work places high demands on documentation and legal security. We also see that you work independently and well-structured, as well as being flexible.
We are looking for you who listen, communicate, and solve conflicts in a constructive way. You have the ability to put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings, and you need to be calm and stable, as well as show courage in difficult situations. To thrive in this role, you need to view positively a daily life characterized by variation and challenges. Based on our municipality size, we work closely together and hope that you, just like us, are a driven team player with an attentive approach and a great sense of responsibility.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A driver's license is a requirement as driving is included in the authority work.

Before you can be employed, you need to show a clean extract from the police criminal record, which is not more than 6 months old.
In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of residence together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
