Job Description

Framtidens Bredband is an open fiber network providing fiber connectivity for tenants and properties belonging to Förvaltnings AB Framtiden. Framtidens Bredband is a simple entity, and the employment is formally held by Familjebostäder i Göteborg AB, while you work for all companies that jointly own Framtidens Bredband. Together, we have approximately 80,000 connected apartments and premises, as well as approximately 2,300 technical switches with around 8,000 connected OT products. This makes Framtidens Bredband the largest property-owned fiber infrastructure in Sweden. This offers you the opportunity to work in a technically complex and socially important environment.

You will become part of Framtidens Bredband's technical team. As a System Engineer for the OT network, you will work with the operation, management, and development of the technical network that connects the group's property technical systems, such as metering equipment, access control systems, and solar power installations.

You serve as the technical contact person for the housing companies and handle matters related to both the active technical network and the passive network infrastructure. The work includes receiving and investigating fault reports, technical assessments, coordination with internal and external partners, as well as follow-up and documentation. Additionally, there is collaboration regarding new connections, fault handling, follow-up, and quality work, and you will participate in joint development work together with representatives from the group's housing companies.

You are responsible for documenting the network's equipment, updating procedures and guidelines, and identifying and driving improvement and development opportunities. The work is primarily administrative, but as needed, you will perform troubleshooting and simpler on-site actions in properties, as well as install technical switches during urgent interventions.

In the long term, GlobalConnect will take over the operation of the technical network, including switch configuration and management of firewalls and other systems. Therefore, an important part of your role is to ensure that Framtidens Bredband has sufficient internal technical competence to be a qualified client, able to follow up on deliveries, and to act as support and advisor to the housing companies' staff in connection with their OT initiatives.

You are part of a small team where we help each other, share knowledge, and learn about each other's areas to create robust solutions and high quality in delivery. Since the team is small, we value collaboration, lack of hierarchy, and the willingness to contribute where needed – while you get a good opportunity to develop broadly within networks, OT, and property technology.

Qualifications

We want you to have:

• Post-secondary education in IT, network technology, fiber technology, system technology, or equivalent basic competence.
• Basic knowledge of networks, such as IP networks, switches, VLANs, and network structure.
• Basic understanding of fiber and copper networks.
• Good skills in Excel and general computer literacy.
• Ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

Meritorious (but not a requirement):

• Professional experience in networking or IT operations.
• Experience in case management or working with customers, users, or suppliers.
• In-depth knowledge of OT environments, property systems, or IoT.
• Experience or in-depth knowledge of the technical products contained in the OT environment, such as access control systems, controllers, solar cells, etc.

• Structured and meticulous, with a methodical approach and an understanding of the importance of documentation.
• Flexible and adaptable to a role that may change over time.
• Hierarchical-free team player who enjoys collaborating and supporting others.
• Curious, responsible, and willing to learn new technical areas.
• Service-oriented and communicative, with an interest in guiding and helping colleagues with technical questions.

Within Förvaltnings AB Framtiden, Bostads AB Poseidon, Familjebostäder i Göteborg AB, Bostadsaktiebolaget i Göteborg AB, Gårdstensbostäder AB, and GöteborgsLokaler AB are included in the Framtiden group. This means that Framtidens Bredband operates Sweden's largest property-owned fiber infrastructure.

We work weekdays during office hours and have some possibility to work temporarily at locations other than the regular office.
