The Education Department is responsible for preschool, compulsory school, adapted compulsory school, upper secondary school, and adapted upper secondary school. The responsibility also covers student health services, mother-tongue instruction, school transport, and school meals. Description

At Liljeskolan F–3, there are approximately 325 students and around 50 dedicated employees. We work together to create a safe, accessible, and stimulating learning environment where the students' knowledge development is at the center.

Job Description

Liljeskolan F–3 is looking for a dedicated special needs teacher with a focus on severe speech and language disorders who wants to help develop an accessible and inclusive learning environment for all students.

As a special needs teacher, you work both directly with students and in a developmental capacity. You are part of the school's student health team and collaborate with educators, guardians, and school management to create the best conditions for students' learning and development.

The role involves working with students with severe speech and language disorders, as well as developing the school's work within language, reading, and writing development. You also contribute special pedagogical perspectives to challenges in mathematics teaching and support educators in their work with extra adaptations, special support, and accessible learning environments.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher and hold a special needs teacher degree, preferably with a focus on severe speech and language disorders.

Experience working with students in need of special support, knowledge of speech and language disorders, language-developing methods, and alternative communication forms are meritorious. We would also appreciate experience in pedagogical assessments and mentoring of educators, as well as knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematical development.

To succeed in this role, you need to have a relational approach, good collaboration skills, and a strong commitment to student learning. You are development-oriented, solution-focused, and see both individual needs and the development of the organization.
