The Education Department is responsible for preschool, compulsory school, special needs school, upper secondary school, and special needs upper secondary school. The responsibility also covers student health services, mother tongue instruction, school transport, and school meals. Description

The Mother Tongue Department consists of approximately 35 teachers who instruct multilingual students spread across all schools in Trelleborg Municipality. Currently, we offer instruction in 27 languages.

Responsibilities

As a Mother Tongue Teacher in Vietnamese, you will work in the compulsory school providing mother tongue instruction. Your duties will also include study guidance in the student's mother tongue.

Your work is highly independent with a focus on the student, but you will also be part of a work team.

In your role, you will need to build good relationships with students, guardians, and other colleagues involved in the student's support team. As a Mother Tongue Teacher, you will need to adapt quickly when the conditions in the operation change.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has Vietnamese as their mother tongue. It is meritorious if you have teacher training in mother tongue instruction, a teaching license, or other education that the employer considers equivalent.

Previous experience in mother tongue instruction or other teaching experience within the school system is also meritorious.

To succeed in this role, you must also have good knowledge of Swedish.

To be successful as a Mother Tongue Teacher, you need to be responsible and ensure that your tasks are performed with high quality. You are proactive and able to make decisions and take action when the situation requires it.

You have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. You are open to sharing knowledge, experiences, and ideas with colleagues to create a positive and efficient work environment.

In the role of Mother Tongue Teacher, you must be able to adapt to different situations and handle changes and new challenges that may arise in the work.
