The County Administrative Board is an expert authority in areas such as nature and environment, urban planning and rural development, directly subordinate to the Government. We act as a link between people, municipalities, regions, and various authorities. We work to ensure that national goals are implemented in the county. We do this by considering the whole picture in our regulatory activities, by disseminating knowledge, and by coordinating and developing various substantive issues. Sustainable development gives the future opportunities in a Södermanland for all.

Description

We are now looking for a coordinator for the Unit for Social Sustainability, one of four units within the Urban Planning Department. The position is fixed-term for 6 months. The Department aims to contribute to promoting sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and social security, as well as strengthening the county's civil preparedness and total defense. The Unit for Social Sustainability aims to contribute to an equal and gender-equal Södermanland within its areas of responsibility; crime prevention, public health, integration, gender equality, and human rights. You will work in an engaged team where each employee contributes their knowledge from different expert areas.

Responsibilities

The position focuses on the unit's assignments within integration and ANDTS (alcohol, narcotics, doping, tobacco, and gaming) prevention.

Within given frameworks, you will be responsible for independently implementing and reporting on the authority's ANDTS preventive work. During the employment period, you will, among other things, follow up on the regional action program for ANDTS and report on the work. A prioritized effort is supporting the municipalities in implementing the method "Bars Against Drugs". This is done partly in collaboration with the unit's crime prevention coordinator.

Together with other employees within integration, you will be part of the strategic, regional work to promote the municipalities' preparedness and reception capacity, societal orientation, and the establishment of newly arrived and unaccompanied children. Partly, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and reporting of the entire assignment, and partly you will be responsible for certain tasks within the integration work.

Knowledge-promoting and supportive work is an important part of the position. The work includes convening and leading meetings and networks. Daily contact with professionals in the county's municipalities, other authorities, and organizations is included, which is why it is of great importance that you have ease in communicating orally and in writing. Collaboration takes place both regionally, locally, and nationally. Travel, mainly within the county, is normal in the position.

The work also includes preparing background materials, responding to consultations, and writing reports.

Qualifications and Profile

You should have:

  • a university education in public health science, social science, or another education that the employer deems equivalent.
  • experience from previous work focused on integration, asylum reception, housing, and/or establishment of newly arrived, or from ANDTS prevention work.
  • several years of experience in development work in the public sector and in supporting collaboration between different actors.
  • documented experience in leading and driving processes.
  • a driver's license (Category B).

It is meritorious if you have:

  • documented knowledge of ANDTS prevention work.
  • documented experience or knowledge about working with statistics and follow-up in digital tools.
  • broad knowledge of social sustainability issues.

You are:

  • open, curious, and communicative.
  • independent but have ease in collaborating with others.
  • good at creating and maintaining good, professional relationships.
  • proactive and driving in processes.
  • good at coordinating others and establishing contacts between actors.
  • able to work with processes and tasks in parallel.

About the Position

The employment is fixed-term for 6 months and covers full time (100%). The position is distributed approximately 60/40 percent between ANDTS/integration assignments. Start date as soon as possible.

All positions at the County Administrative Board may be subject to security clearance and military placement depending on the nature of the assignment.
